Honeymoon in Hawaii

Any ideas on a great honeymoon spot in Hawaii around $3000 or less for 7-10 days?  i don't even know which island to go to, less yet a hotel

Re: Honeymoon in Hawaii

  • Oahu is the most economical island because it has the aviation hub of the islands (Honolulu Airport) where most flights go in/out. Plus, it has the most options in terms of hotels. We really like the Aqua Resorts line of boutique hotels all located in Waikiki because they have lots of free amenities (free continental breakfast, free internet, free local calls, free beach towel rental, etc). We usually stay at the Aqua Palms & Spa. Def get on their email list since they have great promos and 24-hour sales (a few times a year, we saved a TON on our holidays trip last year with the 24-hour sale). Make sure you get the book Oahu Revealed by Andrew Doughty, it's the only guidebook you'll need: wizardpub.com Also, get a free Hawaii travel package from the state of Hawaii: gohawaii.com Finally, my best advice for Oahu is to rent a car. Waikiki is a most definitely a city (it's actually just one neighborhood of the city of Honolulu) but Oahu is so much more than Waikiki. Good luck!
  • We're going to Oahu! It's going to be a blast! We were originally planning on going to Cancun & Playa del Carmen but had to change our trip because FI refused to go to Mexico right now. They're both gorgeous, fun, and economical locations!
  • for around $6600 we are going to 4 islands (Oahu, Big Island,  Maui, Kauai).  This includes all airfare, car rentals, and Hyatt hotels.  The Hyatts have a special... something like: if you stay 3 or more nights you get one night free, plus free breakfast every morning.  I think you might be able to get 7 days for around $3k.

  • ever consider doing the cruise out of honolulu? for about 3000 you can see many islands in 7 days.  its through NCL.
  • We did the NCL cruise for the first week of our honeymoon. Absolutely amazing and we got to see much more of Hawaii. For the second week we stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Oahu. We spent about $7k for the 2 weeks with plane tickets.
