DisneyWorld!

My fiance and I are going to a family members mountain home after the wedding to get away but our actual honeymoon will be 8 months after during springbreak at DisneyWorld. We're doing it this way because we are both still in college and this will be more convienent for us. My aunt is letting us use her timeshare down there so we won't be in a disney resort. My question is what are some things we should do, buy, or see while we're there since we can't take advantage of the honeymoon specials because almost all of them require staying at a resort?

Re: DisneyWorld!

  • When you get there, make sure you go to guest services at a park ( or a store i think) and see if they have any just married buttons-you can wear them around the park while you are there (they are free)...i would suggest looking into some of the signature dining locations that they have (narcoosees, yachtsman steakhouse, california grille...they can be pricey but are very nice locations and some offer stunning views of the MK fireworks if you time it right) some of the tours they have seem really good-keys to the kingdom takes you backstages, dolphins in depth lets you swim with dolphins at epcot. you can call to make dining reservations even if you arent staying on property-if you choose to see if you can get a fantasmic dining package so you can get priorty seating at the fantasmic show at hollywood studios...if you are into relaxing, book a couples massage at the grand floridian or saratoga springs spas.
  • Wow, where to begin.... lol As prior post said, definitely go to guest services and get your buttons. My FI proposed in Disney and we got the just engaged buttons. We got tons of congratulations and even a few extra fast passes and free ice cream! Go to every park and see and do everything! When you go to Hollywood Studios, go to Toy Story Mania first to get the fast past tickets. It's awesome. Also make sure you do the American Idol Experience. A lot of fun and a good way to get out of the heat and crowd for a little while. Downtown Disney is amazing to go shopping at night, and there is the La Nouba show that I hear is great! There are many fabulous romantic restaurants in Disney :)FI and I are still considering Disney for our honeymoon in Sept. It's a place I will never get tired of :)
