Barbados Honeymoon?

Hello! We're planning our honeymoon for early August and have been thinking about Barbados.  Has anyone been there? And if so, is it recommended ?Thanks for any input!! Katie

I loved Barbados. We did not pick it for our HM because we wanted to go to a place that neither of us had been before (so we went with Hawaii), but when I was in Barbados I had an amazing time. I went with the girls for a week during spring break in college one year and we stayed at the Sandy Lane Hotel in Saint James. It was pretty pricey (I think it was something like $1000 a night) but it was TOTALLY worth it. The place was gorgeous, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. The island itself is beautiful, and I'm sure you can find less pricey hotels that are lovely. I think Barbados would be a lovely HM spot!

We are considering taking a cruise out of Barbados for our HM. It leaves a couple of days after our wedding, so we were going to fly down there and stay for a night or 2 before the cruise. Not having much luck finding an affordable hotel, seems there are either not so nice hotels for cheap or the nice ones are all inclusive and very expensive.
