You get free drinks on any airline when flying first class. First class tickets are typically significantly higher than economy (example, I booked a ticket in first class from Denver to Phoenix recently- economy was around $200 and first was around $400.) So, if you're just looking for free drinks, the extra money may not be worth it.
No I'm not looking to book just for the free drinks. I've already booked the ticket becaue it wasn't that much more and I'm carrying on my dress. So I will have more of a chance to be able to hang it in the coat closet. I was just wondering if as a perk they get any free alcoholic beverages? I'm only asking because I have no idea... I thought i saw on a plane once that they were getting champagne or wine or something and i was totally jealous and it looked like it was free ... So i was just curious.
Hey you! I commented about this our board but... yup! It's all free. Remember that flight I told you about that was grounded for four hours? All we did in first class was drink and joke around and laugh. It was like a little party up there. We drank all the vodka before even taking off and the flight attendant kept messing with coach by announcing what alcohol was no longer going to be available because first class was full of lushes.

I believe in a lot of things. I believe in fresh tennis balls, the healing power of bunnies, and that the novels of Susan Sontag are something I'll never read. In fact, I don't even know who Susan Sontag is. What is she... like... a painter? I believe in Crystal Lite because I believe in ME. I believe in the movies of Val Kilmer, though these days it ain't so easy. I believe in Darren Sproles, the word "dabble", the first season of "Silk Stockings", and big, warm, moist, gooey chocolate chip cookies that melt in your mouth and all over your face.
wow - i fly first class fairly often and have never been offered a full meal or desert (at least on domestic flights)!! more things are offered for international flights. but for a typical domestic flight, you are just offered drinks (alcoholic and non) throughout the duration of the flight, have more comfortable seats, and will be offered the snacks that the rest of the cabin has to pay for (cookies, fancy bags of chips, etc).
Oh wow, what airlines do you use? I always fly first class domestically and have never not been given what I listed lol Maybe it depends on the destination or duration of the flight, but even flying from CT to Chicago I'm still offered the same meals.

I fly for work all the time, and first class differs depending on the carrier.
Most provide free unlimited drinks and snacks (some better than others, but usually chips/cookies at least). Some offer full meals, hot towels, etc (usually for flights over 3 hours).

Just to Vegas from Minneapolis. So actually a pretty short flight, just over three hours.
