Secrets Resorts/All inclusives

Have anyone ever been to a Secrets Resort before? A co-worker has gone to Secrets Silversands Riviera Cancun with his wife for their anniversary and has said it is very nice. They also have resorts in other places in Mexico and in Jamiaca. Has anyone else been to one and what was their experience with it? I found that we could do 7 days, 6 nights plus airfare through them for $3,099.46.

Otherwise, what other all-inclusive places can people recommend?

Did you find it cheaper to book through tripadvisor.com than through their actual site?

We booked Secrets Sanctuary Cap Cana through a travel agent and it was cheaper than booking directly through the secrets people.

I'm also going to use a TA. Check with them first.

We are going to Secrets Maroma Beach for our honeymoon in May. Has great reviews from trip advisor and is supposed to be one of the 10 best beaches in the world. I used a local TA but got them to price match the quotes I got from expedia.com and cheapcarribean.com.

We HMed at Secrets Maroma (Riveria Maya) 10/18 - 10/25 and LOVED it!

I have a full review and some pics in my bio.  Definitely recommend it.

We booked via TA and I believe our total cost including flights, transportation, trip insurnace, etc was $4200 for 7 nights and 8 days. 

We did the preffered club, which is nice, but depending on the price difference, I don't think it's really worth it.

If you're looking in Cancun area specifically, we've heard that Secrets Maroma is nicer than Secrets Capri but also more expensive.

We are going to Secrets Maroma Beach right after our wedding in May. TripAdvisor has great reviews about it and its loved by girls on TK.

Definitely check with a TA for the best deals.
