Poll: What's your travelling style?

Are you and your fiancé on the same page when it comes to travelling? How do you go about planning the perfect vacation?

Re: Poll: What's your travelling style?

  • For honeymoon travel, we both agreed that we want to just relax on the beach and do nothing if we want. That's mainly the reason we didn't choose a destination like Greece or Italy, where we would feel compelled to travel all over and see the sites. I'm kind of taking our HM as a time to unwind after the whirwilnd of planning. :o)

Outside of honeymoon traveling, we are more of the types to take in the culture and travel around whereever we go.

  • When it comes to travel, I am definitley the planner in the relationship.  Partly because I am actually a travel planner and partly because my FI is so easy going.  As long as there is a beach involved or some sort of boat drinks - he is in!

  • We definitely both choose Hawaii together then we discussed what types of excursions/sights we wanted to see and do. But I have organized and planned it all. He is not a planner.... So it works :)
  • I'm definitely the planner! I love the plan tons of things out, but always have the option to do different things that are planned, or just go off the beaten path. I like have ideas of things to do and things to keep us busy, but I like being spontaneous as well =]
  • FI and I are both huge planners. He came up with the idea of us going to Hawaii and is planning the honeymoon. Actually, he plans all of our vacations - he's good at it!
As far as my travelling style, it's more of a science. FI travels non-stop for work and until recently, so did I. I have a pre-travel checklist to make sure I don't forget anything. It's super dorky, but gives me peace of mind :)
