I'm not quite sure if you ladies are a bit annoyed by this like I am, but the models in wedding dresses in magazines always seem to have strange hair styles. Some are shockingly absurd, I find it distracting. I was just looking through a magazine and there was a model in a wedding dress with a HUGE feathered headdress similar to what Native Americans would wear.

A lot of their faces look so angry or depressed. Does this bother anyone at all?

the hair yes...or when they angle the model so you cannot see the detail of the gown...so annoying...I have to say, I haven't bought 1 wedding magazine yet!

I get annoyed at the same things too.  I wish they would make the "bride" look a lot more realistic too.

i totally agree with the fact that so many of them look angry! it's supposed to be the happies day of their life.

they do look angry and they all look as though they have scoliosis.  IT drives me nuts.

I noticed the hair thing too!  I was looking through a magazine hoping to get hair ideas, and it only took me about half way through to realize that all of the hair was just aweful!

My mom, sister, and I spent a lot of time making fun of their facial expressions. They all look so angry!

Yeah, I definitely noticed the faces before. I shortly considered starting a Tumblr blog with funny captions, but lazy me won't do that. What's wrong with these girls? Who's dragging them to the altar? What do they eat, why do they look so unhealty? It's the make-up too, frequently they'll have large black circles around their eyes. Ew.

hahaha honestly, I've never noticed before, and I've been collecting and looking through bridal magazines for 5 years now.

But actually, my degree is in fashion design, and I started looking through bridal magazines several years ago for inspiration on silhouettes for design classes. Fashion models always have crazy hair and makeup and moody expressions, so I never really thought anything of it. And for the most part, I focus in on the dress and ignore the girl altogether. Also, I really like looking at the backgrounds a lot of times.

I guess I'm just the odd one!

I think they are trying to get the bride of frankenstien look, I don't want to look like that but some one told them that looks good and that sells gowns!! haha  I just wish they would make them up to look normal
