Honeymoon Suggestions

My fiance and I are looking for an all inclusive resort to visit for our honeymoon in March, budget is $6500.  Trying to go to a new place that isn't in Mexico.  Also food is important to my fiance... so good food is a huge plus.  Share with me your suggestions. Thanks.

Re: Honeymoon Suggestions

  • do you want beachy?

    what about cruises?

there are so many options out there I think we need more details about what you are looking for to give you great suggestions.

  • Beachy is good... but the pools are where we spend most of our time but we enjoy having the luxury of seeing the ocean.  Our last trip was to Cabo and we stayed at the RIU Palace and it was amazing, we would go back there in a second except that want to go somewhere new.  I have my eyes on Turks and Caicos but the only all inclusive resort is Beaches which is rather pricey.  Any other ideas.

    Thanks for your help.
  • There is a RIU in Aruba, if you really liked them, and wanted to check out a new island.

  • I would have to agree with the ladies who said a cruise. You can have great food, lots of entertainment, since you're not really looking to "relax on the beach all day" you have your pools on the ship, and then when you dock in certain ports go to the beach and relax or check out the towns. I think it would be a great option for you guys, and you can definitely get one under $6500. I would say check out Royal Caribbean for sure =]
  • If I had $6500 I would probably do Maui, or maybe try for somewhere in Europe.

  • Check out Galley Bay in Antigua if you want some R&R - be ready that they aren't known to be a rowdy crowd.  The Trip Advisor reviews absolutely sold us, adn we'll be heading there in October 2011 for our HM.  :)
