Freaking out! HELP!

I just put on my dress and it doesn't fit! I am getting married in 2 days!!! What can I do?? I'm trying not to fall into a pile of tears, but I am. I haven't gained weight, if anything I've been working out and I'm hungry! What happened? I can't get it altered because I'm flying out tomorrow and there just isn't time.

Please tell me someone else has experienced this and on the day of the dress fit.

What time of day did you try it on?  Did you have a lot salty foods that day or the few days before? Did you go out drinking this weekend?  What undergarments were you wearing (that day, and when you tried it on after alterations)? If it is still too tight have a BM help you squeeze into it and change for the reception.  I hope things turn out well for you.

I put it on about 4pm, but Im getting married at 5:30pm. I've been good about salty food, no alcohol for weeks AND I put on spanx. The day I tried it on it was perfect. I'm hoping that because it was men that were helping me put it on was the problem and it needs a woman to know how to put on a dress (I'm pulling anything right now). Thank you for response!

I'm sure it'll be okay- don't eat anything salty beforehand, maybe you were also hot and the dress just kind of stuck on you?? Put it on and try walking around in it and sitting down- try to at least stretch it out a bit if you can.

Breathe, when is the last time you tried it on before today?

Someone else here said their seamstress told them spanx can make it harder to fit into dresses. It's good for 'smoothing' but not necessarily fitting into a smaller size because it's just extra fabric.

ditto what Meagan said. perhaps try it WITHOUT the spanx?? good luck - stay hydrated with LOTS of water - especially since you are flying, which can dehrdrate you a lot -  and stay away from salt.

Thank you for all your responses! I had my mom put it on the night before and with the help of my brother it fit, but barely. The day of I thought it was a different dress because it zipped right up! It was crazy! and no spanxs, thank good because i hate those things and Meagan you are right, the spanxs weren't helping anything.

Somehow the stress of it all made me not fit into it, but the day of the wedding I was calm and it was perfect
