Looking for an all-inclusive honeymoon?

We are looking for an all-inclusive honeymoon somewhere warm, maybe mexico? We are going in July. Any ideas? We are also on a small budget of about $3,000.

Re: Looking for an all-inclusive honeymoon?

  • We are staying at Secrets Maroma in Mexico next July. We are staying 9 nights and it's costing $3,600 (future MIL is paying for our airfare) I am using VIP Vacations, they are wonderful! I have also compared our pricing on MANY other websites and find the cheapest rates on resortvacationstogo.com
  • Riu Palace in Cabo! I paid about that much, but in January. Not sure how much for July...It's worth a shot.

  • Royal Cancun. AI and adults only.

We were just there in March and it was amazing. What we spent was above your price range but that's only 'cause we went top notch. They do have less expensive rooms.

Sorry I don't have a review of it yet. We are builidng a new website and I didn't want to bother putting it on the old one. I do have a ton of pics though. Here's the link if you would like to check out the pics. I do have reviews and pics from Sandals Grande St. Lucian and Sandals Negril in Jamaica.

  • Look at the Aura Cozumel Wyndham Grand Bay. We had a 3rd floor room with a rooftop terrace and private lap pool for a week with airfare for $2200. We went in April of this year. It's adults only all-inclusive and it's a boutique hotel, so there's only 87 guest rooms. It was so quiet and relaxing and it never once felt crowded.

(edit: The Knot will not allow the first word of the city and made me remove it but just click the link below and you can see the resort.) http://www.excellence-resorts.com/all-inclusive-resorts/caribbean/punta-cana-dominican-republic/punta-cana-overview.htm We're going for 7 days (Oct 18th thru the 25th) and it's all inclusive, adults only. I booked it on Cheap Caribbean and with airfare included, airport transfers there and back, and additional insurance and medical coverage it was only $2800!!! I can't wait! :)

    Wow! Nice deal!!!

We're going to Secrets Maroma in Riveria Maya Oct 18th-25th and paying $3800 for 5 nights, preferred club, swim-up room including flight, transfers and insurance.
  • I highly recommend the Royal Playa del Carmen. The resort is beautiful, and you're smack dab in downtown Playa del Carmen so you get the best of the beach/pool, but also the culture and shopping of 5th Ave (the long strip of shops, restaurants, etc). They also have a jacuzzi in all suites... what more could you ask for!

    HTH!
    TEST
  • Oh, and our total was a little over $3000 only because we had to change the date and incurred a few insurance fees. I went through Jennifer at Tropical Travelers. We relayed our budget and she did an amazing job sticking below that.

  • we are going to Royal Playa Del Carmen in 2 weeks and I cant wait! Check it out! I will also give reviews when I get home!!!

Did you book through a TA? I've looked at this hotel and can't find anything that cheap.

  • I second Excellence P*nta Cana. We just went there in August for our anniversary and loved it. The service was excellent and the food was very good. There is a lot of stuff to do during the day and they have shows every night. although if you are looking for a lot of night life, it may not be the place. It seemed to die down every night after the shows, except for the casino which seemed like the place to be at night.

We paid about $3000 with airfare for 8 nights.
  • We're doing the Royal PLaya del Carmen in November. The rooms look amazing, it's right by the ferry to Cozumel and the 5th street area with all the bars and shops, and the resort sounds fantastic. It has great ratings on Trip ADvisor

I've been looking into the different Secrets resorts in the Cancun area (Maroma, Capri, and Silversands). They all look great - their prices are a little different from each other as well as the style of the resort (i.e. Silversands has a very modern, contemporary look to it). Right now my fiance and I are leaning towards Capri because the cost for 6 nights & airfare is about 2,700 and we like the style of it! Silversands is slightly cheaper (by about $100). Maroma is a little more in cost (I think a little over $3000) but I've heard alot of people really like it there. Our budget is $3000 too, but we're hoping to spend that in all (including the things we do while we're there) so that's why we'll probably go to Capri! Hope this info is helpful!
