Dreams Tulum vs Valentin Imperial...your opinion please!!!

We are looking seriously into going to these resorts (Dreams Tulum and Valentin Imperial). I would love your opinions on either resort, excursions available, and price. We are very torn!!! I also looked at Dreams Los Cabos but from what I have read, the pictures on the website are more beautiful than it really is. This part of the planning is more overwhelming than I thought it would be! *sigh*

  • Tripadvisor has a great feature where you can see actual guests' photos in addition to reviews - that might be a good place to check to see if the resort lives up to the website photos.

  • We're going to Valentin! I'm so excited!

Dreams is not all adult, which was important to me. Valentin has a huge grounds to walk around and the rooms look amazing! The trip advisor photos of rooms actually match the ones on the website.

I vote Valentin! Go to trip advisor and see the reviews/photos.

  • My husband and I stayed at the Valentin and really enjoyed our stay. I've never heard of Dreams Tulum or Cabo so I have no comments there but I did really enjoy the Valentin Imperial.

One thing to consider, the Valentin is not a party place and the night time activities are pretty low key. Lots of bars and a few shows but no true clubs- so if you are looking for a more cluby vibe, it might not be your scene.

  • My parents took me to Dreams Tulum when I graduated from college.  It was my first experience with an All-Inclusive so I may be a bit biased but I thought it was really beautiful.  My mom had emailed with the concierge before we got there and told them that we were celebrating my graduation so they decorated my room for me.  Aside from the buffet all the restaurants were really great, they have a sushi bar which was amazing.  The only thing that wasn't so great was the beach; it was pretty rocky but I don't know if it's like that every where in the area or just at Dreams.
