Turks and Caicos... Any recommendations?

We're heading to the Turks and Caicos Islands for our honeymoon. Has anyone ever been? Any restaurant recommendations? Things to do? We mostly want to lay on the beach and snorkle but anything else to do would be great. Thanks :)

    My daughter just returned from The Veranda at T&C and loved it, It's an all inclusive resort!

    H and I went to Turks and Caicos a few years ago and had a great time!  We stayed at The Somerset on Grace Bay resort.  It is an absolutely beautiful resort -- the rooms, the setting, the staff, everything! The sand is the texture of baby powder, just gorgeous.  The island is absolutely stunning.  Stunning.

    There is a restaurant you can walk to -- on the sand -- from the resort.  I don't recall the name, but staff at The Somerset (or your resort) can tell you.  We had lunch at a dockside restaurant and asked our cab driver for dinner recommendations.  We found some great places.

    FI and I stayed at Ocean Club West this past January in Grace Bay.  LOVED IT!  We stayed in a resort condo, so we had a full kitchen but also had maid/towel service as well.  Best of both worlds.  We loved CoCo Bistro for dinner and we had an amazing dinner on the beach at Bay Bistro, which is at the Sibonne resort.  Call ahead and ask for a reservation for one of their beach dining tables.... candle lit dinner on the beach.  It was very romantic!

    I was thinking about going on my HM there as well....How much do you think it costs for a week hotel/food? Thanks!

    Hi, we are headed there for our h. moon on Aug 12th and we called the hotel for suggestions so maybe you can do that as they sometimes partner with some of the activity places and can also get you discounted rates.

    We will be in the Grace bay area and this is option we are going to go with one of the days we're there: Jet Skiing http://www.tcimall.tc/sunandfun/ call for rates as they have them by the hour, 1/2 day or full days.

    Outside of that as someone else mentioned, fishing, sailboating, hiking, golf, tennis etc are mostly it. We're looking forward to doing NOTHING outside of activity planned :)
