MAINE. HONEYMOON. HELP!

Hello all!

Looking to go to Maine for our honeymoon. Neither of us have been there, so we need tons of advice. We are looking for a place in Maine that does not have much of a party scene, but more of a natural/relaxing/outdoorsy scene. We would like to go sailing/whale watching/hiking, etc. Our wedding is May 7, 2011.

Thoughts?

    I love Maine! I have been there many times but please keep in mind that may in Maine is still really cold! It doesnt warm up until July/August.  Rangley sounds perfect for what you are looking for. It is much more nature orientated.  Good Luck.

    We went on an RV trip to Bar Harbor this summer.  Arcadia National Park has tons of places to hike and enjoy nature.

    hcorrigan34, i agree with you! i live on the water and it wasnt that cold and i hate being cold! mount desert island/bar harbor is a beautiful place to go for a honeymoon. if you private message, i can give you more information - i live up there! :)

    Definitely Bar Harbor area.

    other great spots are Rockport and Christmas Island area- so picturesque!

    Bar Harbor is amazing!!! Acadia is gorgeous. I was up there for a week for work this past March. It was cold but beautiful!
