Las Vegas Honeymoon

My fiance and I are jumping around the west coast for our honeymoon. One of our stops is Vegas. Has anyone stayed at any of the following hotels what did you think of them:
Treasure Island
NewYork NewYork
Bally's

I'd appreciate any feedback!! Thank you!!!

Re: Las Vegas Honeymoon

  • I haven't stayed at any of those when in Vegas, but location-wise, Bally's is the most centrally located. TI and NYNY are both on opposite ends of the strip. Bally's is right in the middle and the best location IMO.

    Vacation
  • We stayed in a suite at Treasure Island a few months ago. I have a blog entry on the stay here. All of the rooms in the hotel have recently been renovated and are actually quite nice. The location was decent as we were directly across from the Palazzo and kitty-corner from the Wynn and Encore. The Fashion Show Mall is also located across the street.

However, for a honeymoon I would probably stay at a nicer place such as Wynn, Encore, Palazzo, the Venetian, or Cosmopolitan.
  • Stay at the MIRAGE.  Newly renovated, beautiful, not horribly expensive, right in the middle of the strip.

I stayed at NYNY.  I loved that it was a smaller hotel/casino (compared to Mandalay Bay) and was less easy to get lost and confused in.  The rooms were nice.  But like pp mentioned it is a little far south.  We didn't mind all the walking but it would have been nicer to be central strip.  If you're looking for more information you can always check out the Las Vegas board.  They are very helpful :)

  • Out of those three, Bally's has the best location. I really like the Flamingo. :)

We usually stay at the Mirage when we are in Vegas, as the rooms are nice and it is not as expensive as Wynn, the Bellagio or the Venetian.  If you "like" the hotels on Facebook, you get info on discounts and sales.   We have also stayed at Bally's in the past and it was nice and VERY convenient to everything.  It connects to the Paris Hotel and in front of Bally's is a cross over walkway to the Bellagio (you walk up over the strip to the other side of the road, which is very convenient).

If you stay in Bally's, check out the Mon Ami Gabi restaurant in Paris.  It is a reasonably priced french restaurant (entress from $18-$30) with amazing views of the Bellagio Fountains across the street.  We always go there whenever we are in Vegas.  Also, if you are looking for recommendations for restaurants or things to do, definitely check out the Vegas local board.  The folks there are super nice, welcoming and love to help people plan trips and weddings in Vegas. (My FI and I are getting married in Vegas so it has been a great resource).

    Have a great trip!

  • I second the other posters who said that the Mirage is a great option at a great price. You still get an upscale feel and an unbeatable location. The Cosompolitan is my favorite hotel in Vegas. Get a balcony room facing the Bellagio fountains, you won't be disappointed.
  • IMO, those are on the lower end of the hotels LV has to offer but I agree that Bally's is the best location.  I would try to upgrade to maybe Paris or Mirage if you could and of course the others mentioned (Cosmo, Bellagio, Venetian) would be the ultimate honeymoon hotels, albeit more pricey.

  • NYNY is fun, but noisy. There's a good bar there, called Nine Fine Irishmen, though.

For a honeymoon, I would recommend either Paris Las Vegas or the Cosmopolitan. Both are very centrally located and also have a good vibe for couples, IMO.

Stay at the Wynn if you can.  Gorgeous hotel.  TI is nice as well.  Check expedia.  You can always find great deals there.  The Venetian is great too!!
  • The cosmopolitan is amazing if u can book there. Out of your options listed NYNY its a great location and lots of cheap easy food if u want it. I love their casino at night great atmosphere.
