Because we just started our wedding planning in late February, we didn't find/book our photographer until mid-march. Our wedding planner recommended her, I loved her website and gallery, and I loved her in person. After meeting with her I booked her on the spot and gave my wedding planner a check for a deposit. Well unfortunately that very evening, a couple of freak tornadoes hit our area and her house was completely destroyed
I was informed of this by my wedding planner the next week. I sent her a note saying how sorry i was that she and her family had to go through this. The wedding planner informed me that she is totally insured and everything will be covered, but I know those things can take a while. My question is this: Our package comes with an engagement session and I really want to book it with her, yet don't wan't to rush it if I am jumping the gun here. I don't know how long it will take to get the photos edited and get them back and all, but I would really like to schedule the session for early May. Will that be enough time or should I give her more time? It has been 3 weeks.
