Has anyone been to Thailand? I am seriously considering going there for our HM. I think it could be the perfect combo of adventure and relaxation. We would be going mid May 2012. Any info or suggestions would be great!

    We are planning on visiting Thailand as well. This is the only place I have been REALLY excited about. I am looking into booking the trip so if you or anyone else has a recommendation for a website or travel agent LET ME KNOW!!

    PS. We are interested in the beaches so Phuket and Krabi mostly.

    I've been a bunch of times, the most recent was two years ago with H (he was a BF at the time).  Mind you, May might be very very hot, but Thailand is always hot anyway.

    I always spend the bulk of my time in Bangkok because of family, but my favorite beach is just an hour or two south of the city.  It's called Hua Hin.  H and I also loved Chiang Mai.  We rode elephants in the mountain (make sure you find a place that treats the animals humanely and ideally has you riding directly on the elephant's back rather than on those uncomfortable wooden seats).
