Has anyone been to St. John and stayed at Caneel Bay Rosewood Resort or the Westin?  Any comments or shared experience will be helpful.  Thanks!

    I like Caneel Bay way better than the Westin.  Their 7  beaches are much better than Westin one beach.

    Caneel Bay does not have room service or TV's in the room and it is pretty spread out.  Not a big deal for me, but some people find it unappealing and opt for the Westin.






    What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.

    We stayed at Caneel Bay on our HM in December and loved it! Beautiful beaches, great snorkeling, really good food and friendly staff. It's also a short drive into town. We didn't go to the Westin so not sure how they compare. We definitely plan on going back to Caneel.

    Like pp said they don't have a TV or a phone in the room which normally we wouldn't have minded however the day of that big snow storm we were supposed to fly back home and it was a little annoying not being able to watch the news or call the airline from our room (would have cost a fortune on our cell phone). But that was an extreme and rare circumstance.
