Hi everyone... we are looking for a great honeymoon spot in September that we dont risk hurricanes.. any suggestions???? we were thinking costa rica ??

There's another thread about where to go for a September honeymoon a little bit down on the page although it got a bit buried today.

Hurricane season isn't as full force in Costa Rica as it is in other Caribbean countries but it's still the rainy season there at that time (or the green season as it's also known by) so you'll still encounter some significant precipitation. Prices at hotels will be cheaper though during the green season. Overall, it's a gorgeous spot and would make for an awesome honeymoon.

Aruba is out of the hurrican belt too. That's all I know though! I haven't been but I've been looking up places in Aruba for the same reason you are! Good luck - keep us posted!

I posted on the other September HM post, but I'm always a fan of Europe =] If you're looking to go overseas and still want beaches you could go along the French Riviera. I went last year with my mom, and it was fantastic =]

I am honeymooning to either Jamaica or Cancun in September.  Just get travel insurance and read it good.  Be sure that if there is a hurricane you can move your trip or reschedule it.  Go where you want and what are the chances?  haha at least that is how I look at it but I know everyone is different.  Good luck

Aruba and Hawaii which I have traveled to both in Sept-Oct have good beach weather. We got married this September and went to Greece (Santorini was what I imagine heaven would be like <:)

We are going to Spain for our September HM so I second Europe. There weather is really nice that time of year and it is shoulder season so you can get some deals. Airfare is expensive, but if you really really search you can find good deals. We just bought our tickets and it was significantly under $1000 for both of us to fly from DC to Madrid. We are lucky to be able to fly from DC though, if you live in a more rural area it might be harder to find cheaper tickets (although this is really true for flying anywhere, not just Europe.)

Edit: I just saw you live in Boston so you should be able to find deals out of Logan. We used farefinder.com and it was great.
