Congrats and welcome. If you're 100% set on a date in 2014, I'd definitely look into some vendors now. If you have an absolute favorite, it might be a good idea to book them now- that way you're locked in a 2012 prices. It could save you a lot of money!

Welcome and congrats!!!   Ditto PP- we were engaged for 2 years and locked into a lot of 2009 prices for our 2011 wedding.  I changed my mind on some details along the way but we were so glad to have all of the big things done (it also helped to have the down payments spaced out).
