Guest Book Signature Mat Frame

I posted this on the Reception Board but sadly I'm not getting any responses... so I was hoping maybe you ladies could help me out here.

I originally wanted to order a signature mat frame to use as our guest book so we could hang it up in our home after the wedding. FI loved the idea, but recently brought up the question of "how will everyone's names fit?" He has a great point, I wouldn't want the names to be illegible due to lack of space. Does anyone have a suggestion as to the size frame we should purchase that would have ample room for our guest list of about 140? I'm sure some couples and families will sign together as a unit, but not all will do that. TIA!

We had about 165 guests attend our reception and I'm pretty sure all names fit.  There is still space on ours and it's hanging in our bedroom!  We used an 8x10 photo and I think the border was 4 or 5 inches.  The mat we used was purchased at Michael's.   

I'll measure tonight and let you know!

Hi Skinny Mini!  LOL  you should make a new screen name.

I think 8x10 for the picture and a wide matte all the way around should be PLENTY of room.  My friend did that and I was able to write "Mazel Tov! Love S & E" way big enough for them to read it.

Thanks ladies! This really helped calm my fears that it wouldn't work, I'm happy because we both really wanted the guest book frame so we could hang it up and it wouldn't be a book that ended up getting stored away somewhere.

i saw a few pretty big ones at bed bath and beyond the other day. you could prob get two to have different pics in if you're nervous about it not fitting

We got the one from BBB as an engagement gift & I LOVE it!! It definitely has enough space for a ton of names! If you sign up on their site they have a 20% a single item sale going on right now! They always have coupons!

I got one at michales that is similar to the one from BBB but the picture is not centered. We did purchase two just in case. We will put them both out. They were on sale for 9.99. GL
