Sound system for an outdoor wedding.

Does anyone know of anyone who will provide sound equipment for an outdoor ceremony?

As in, you're looking to rent equipment and manage the music yourself?

I guess so yeah. Or rent equipment and a person to run it?!?! I'm so not sure.

Dance to the Music out of Danbury rents equipment.  Originally that's what we were going to do for our wedding because a friend, who is a professional DJ, was going to DJ our wedding.  She was from out of town so we had to rent her equipment.  She ended up not being able to come so the owner ended up DJing our wedding.  If I remember correctly, the rates were quite reasonable for the rental, and I believe they dropped off and picked up the equipment too.

If you have a DJ, they will most likely be able to take care of your ceremony music as well.

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure DJ Melee told me he could provide those things.  This reminds me that I should check into that, but I think he will.  Some officiants will provide their own speaker system and microphones.

Yup, DJ Melee has outdoor systems...not sure if he rents them out, but he can do outdoor/indoor receptions, for us our cocktail hour is outside, reception inside, and he has set ups for both!

DJ melee definitely has this! He is setting this up for our wedding in October! Our ceremony will be outside hopefully and then our reception will be inside so he has a couple of different set ups he can use and provide. He is beyond amazing!! I would check out Jason before your date is booked if it isnt already! Good Luck!

Will he do it without the reception?

Our DJ is provided at our reception site.

Some DJ's will do the ceremony without the reception, but you may end up really paying for it.  Depending on what your needs are, you might be able to do it cheaper without a DJ.  How many people are going to be at the ceremony?  How noisy is the area?  If you have a lot of people and you want them to hear every word, you'll need wireless wearable mics for the bride, groom, and officiant.  that's the situation where you'd really need to hire another DJ.

yeah our ceremony is right next to a main rd. so we will def. need the DJ I've called a couple and they seem really high :( Thanks for the help! I'm sure I'll figure something out!
