Puntacana/ aruba??

have any of you ever been to any resorts in Puntacana? we are looking into the Secrets Resort.  if you have been there, what did you think of it?  Did you have to watch what you ate? How was the food? Can you drink the water there? A friend of mine told me that some people she knew got sick there, so I'm just checking.

we are looking into aruba but a lot of the hotels there look just like hotels, not resorts, so i don't know.

    We are going to Aruba for our HM. I agree, they are more like Hotels than Resorts but I think thats because Aruba is a fairly safe island and you don't spend most of your time at the hotel so a luxury resort is not needed. This is party why we chose Aruba, I don not want to spend my vaca on a resort, we love exploring.
    I don't think there are many AI options on Aruba either. Too many nice restaurants around so AI is not worth it imo
