Besides planning my own wedding, I'm a BM for one of friends two months after my big day.  I will admit I was scared at first that we would be comparing way to much but we aren't.  The thing is that we ordered our BM dresses from David's bridal in Manchester. I hate them. They didn't have my size, a totally common size and now the dress came in and it is HUGE.  They say they will discount my alterations but they are still more than the stupid gown cost.  I wanto to scream.

Go to your local talior.  They probably charge less than DB for alterations.  I know a good one in Stamford and one in Newington if you're near either area.

My friend had the same thing happen(different DB). They allowed her to exchange it for a different size as long as she didn't take it out of the store.   If you have enough time before the wedding, see if they will let you exchange it for a different size?

That's frustrating. I would def go to an outside tailor if you are unable to exchange the dress.

Thanks Girls. I think I'm just gonna take it to a local person.  I left a very very very very long message for corporate offices.  I told them 3 times I knew they were ordering the wrong size.

davids bridal will order you a size or two larger so you have to get alterations done. i would be firm with them if you have to every get another bm dress from them in the future to order it in your size. they claim they run small and you need room that is bs wedding dresses run small most bmades dont
