Question about best things to do in Turks and Caicos for our honeymoon

Was seeing if anyone has had their honeymoon in Turks and Caicos and if so have you stay at Seven Stars Resort? We just booked our honeymoon there and wanted to know if anyone had any inside tips. Thanks so much!

We just returned from Turks and Caicos about two weeks ago.  We stayed at the Veranda, which is also on Grace Bay beach.  We didn't do this ourselves, but a few other couples went to Conch Shack for lunch.  The conch and rum punch are supposed to be amazing there.  The couples we spoke to either rented a car for the day or took a taxi.  Just make sure to confirm your taxi fare before getting in the cab, otherwise they will charge you too much.  We were hesitate to rent a car because they drive on the left side of the road.
We did a half-day snorkeling trip with a company called Island Vibes.  Unfortunately it was very windy that day so were weren't able to snorkel on the barrier reef (3rd largest in the world) but went to a nearby reef.  Then we visited Iguana Island and they make fresh conch salad for us.  The trip was fun, however it seemed like some other companies run more extensive trips (more snorkel stops, BBQ lunch) so I would look into one of the companies in town.  We chose Island Vibes because that is what our hotel recommends.  Have a great trip!
    ETA: the beach is gorgeous!

  • My FI and I went last January to Turks & Caicos for vacation.  We loved it there.  I would recommend making dinner reservations in advance at a few nice places so you can get the best tables.  We loved the Bay Bistro restaurant that is located at the Sibonne hotel.  Ask for one of the few tables out on the beach (they are on raised wooden platforms, so you are not sitting in sand, but the view is amazing at night!)  The tables are pretty far part from one another, so it is quiet and romatic (tiki torches, etc.).  We also loved eating at CoCo Bistro.  I emailed both places to make the reservations, so it was pretty easy to set up from far away.

We stayed at Ocean Club West, which is pretty close to Seven Stars. Both are in an awesome location and the beach is incredible.  You can walk to the Graceway Gourmet grocery store which also has beer and wine.  (Our hotel has little carts you can borrow to bring stuff back from the store, you should ask if you are not using a car).  Also, you are very close to the Caicos Bakery, which is the Port of Call shopping area (walking distrance from Seven Stars).  It's a french bakery owned by two people who relocated from France.  Their chocolate croisants are amazing.  Their bread is also excellent.

So in short, I think we ate our way around TCI.  We didn't do any tours, but Island Vibe was recommended to us by my FI's cousin, who loved it when he was there.  Check out the website When Where How which is a Provo website with contact info for all restaurants, tours, etc.

  • Thanks so much for both of your information! I will definetly be looking into all of those restaurants and Island Vibe as well. I picked this area mostly for the beachs and a relaxing scene so we are very excited!
  • OP if you are looking for relaxing, Turks is definitely the place for you!  You will love it.
