What did you/ are you doing to commemorate those loved ones who are no longer living? I would love to incorporate my grandparents' wedding picture somehow without it being too gaudy.... and i would have to also find pics of Fi's grandmother and 2 grandfathers. i thought that i would just add a few lines in programs to serve this function... but i think the pictures are so much more powerful.... and I am still unsure about the programs!

We listed our grandparents and my uncle on the back of the program and I carried a small frame tied around my bouquet with a picture of my grandmother in it. Maybe you can find a picture of your grandparents at their wedding and put it in a small frame for your bouquet. I am thinking of doing a heritage table with wedding photos of our grandparents.  My grandma is the only grandparent between us still alive...she actually just gave me a beautiful original vintage wedding photo of her and my grandpa :-)Would likely incorporate somehow into the same table as the guest book...but still haven't quite figured it out yet.  Might also add something in the program too.

We did a beautiful memorial table and everyone raved on about how wonderful it was. MY FI had both sets of grandparents deceased, so the inlaws were so moved. For me personally, it was very important because my grandfather who raised me was no longer with us. The table had three pictures, each of the couples from my FI's family and one of my grandpa. Each picture had a memorial candle with their names next to it. Flowers arranged very simply around it. Its definitely classy and appreciated. The pictures are definitely more powerful. My Nanny was adorable, She was seen going to my Pops picture and holding it to her heart for a moment.

We put a blurb on the back of our program..."We remember our most cherished loved ones who are no longer with us to be able to celebrate this special day. We feel they are here in spirit and are in our hearts today and always. We would like to remember with love..." and listed their names.My centerpieces were also created in memory of my maternal grandparents. I was going to put up framed photos of my grandparents on their 50th anniversaries but just didn't get to it.

I have one deceased grandparent and DH has 3 deceased.   My father is also deceased so that was really the only person I felt it necessary to commemorate since it was the most obvious absence.  During the ceremony, there was a candle on the altar and "the candle on the altar burns in loving memory of Bride's Father" written in the program.  At the reception there was a picture of me dancing with my father at my high school graduation and a memorial candle next to it.

We have a note about deceased relatives and listed their names in our program. We are also going to have a table with pictures of them. Both of us lost a grandparent in the past year so we are also having our officiant say something about them during the ceremony.

we put a note on the back of our programs, also had a candle lit on the piano in the church for them.This is what ours said:On this most special milestone in our lives, we wish to lovingly remember those close to our hearts who are no longer with us. We know they are here with us in spirit. The wonderful memories of the precious times shared with each will be cherished forever...The candle on the piano has been lit in loving memory of...

I think we are going to have a memorial candle burning for the ceremony and the reception. I have seen a few on esty that I like.
