Where will you spend your wedding night?

The thread about extra's out of your budget got me thinking. And we all love polls, don't we?

We get a bridal suite free at the hotel across the street from our venue. It is also where all of our guests will be staying. I'm a little worried about some of our friends bothering us, lol. I can definitly see the Best Man thinking he's funny and pouding on our door.

  • We're spending the wedding night at one of the hotels at which we're having room blocks (the highest end one, which is where our close family is staying). Since we're having the goodbye brunch there, the room is actually comped for the B&G! And it's a really nice suite, too. Plus, it'll be nice to just walk downstairs for brunch to say goodbye to everyone, rather than coming over to the hotel from somewhere else :)

  • We will be going home for a few hours. We have a 6:30am flight the next day.

  • Our wedding is in the city we USED to live, which is about an hour from where I live now and 13 hours from where FI lives now (I'll be moving up there with him either before/after the wedding). We get a room comped as part of our wedding package, also where we have booked room blocks.

  • We are staying at a local resort, that's NOT where we've blocked out rooms for guests. We really wanted something separate and private, as well as somewhere we could go to back to for anniversaries, etc.

    <div>You made me laugh :)</div><div>
</div><div>We're probably staying at home, since the venue is so close. But there is a small hotel next to our venue where some family is staying. We'll only need about five rooms, so I don't think they'll offer us an extra room out of nowhere. I'd love to spend the night, or whatever is left of it after our insanely long wedding, somewhere else than in our usual bedroom though, and I'd like to have bruch with the guests the day after.</div>

  • We are staying at the hotel that we got our rooms at. If 20 rooms are booked we get ours for free and we will probably get it for free :).  We are also having our brunch there the next morning so its much easier for us to be there.  We also have transportation for the guests (aka yellow school bus) that we'll be hitching a ride on back after the reception.

  • We have a few hotels right in the downtown area of our city. We picked the JW Marriott by us, and booked the room just a couple weeks ago. It has a little bit of a special meaning for us. Since I live with my parents while Im on break, FI has to drive me home late, and I cant just stay with him. The marriott overlooks the highway (and river next to it, so its got a better view than the roads) we take home,  i liked to look at the lit up rooms, and think "that will be us one day." Im so excited that day is getting closer!

  • We're staying at a hotel near our venue where most of our guests will be staying, so I picked hotel in our hometown but that's not necessarily true. I love love LOVE the idea of leaving for the honeymoon right after the wedding and I wish that was us, but we have so many friends and family coming in from OOT that we want to see the day after the wedding.

  • None of your choices pertain to me we r getting married an hour away from our home town and will be staying at a hotel near our venue

  • Our reception is at Embassy Suites River Center

and we get a room that night for free. :o)

Thank god - because all of FI's family will probably be over-taking our apartment. Abuela alone would have been enough to dampen the mood - but the whole family?

  • We were planning to stay at home and save ourselves the money. But our venue gives us a bridal suite for the night at JW Marriott as a gift.  Though I say it's a "gift" because I'm sure she just gets a discount and includes the rest of the cost in our package lol. We're not complaining though :)
  • I chose "Other" only because we are not quite sure on this yet. We don't know if we're going to come back home that night or get a hotel room at the same hotel guests may be staying at.  It's still up in the air.

  • Nothing is sweeter than hotel love-making IMO. ;-)

There's something about being outside of your usual environment to really spark some romance. :p

  • Our new home will be built by then so it will be our first night in it together (:

  • We're staying in the hotel where we're having our reception at! It's a very old inn and all of the rooms are unique and I'm so excited that we don't have to worry about driving anywhere after the wedding. And I can always run up to the room if I need something!

Our plane leaves the next day at 3:30 PM so we'll have a nice breakfast at the inn before going to the airport.

    Aw. :-)

  • I voted "other"...we're not really have a "destination" wedding, because it's in Indiana where I grew up (not him, he's from MA) and most of my family and friends still live. However, I refuse to stay on a air mattress at my parents house on our wedding night lol So we will be getting a hotel room where our out of town guests will be staying. Most of them will be leaving town the next day, so I thought it'd be nice to stay where they are so we can all say goodbye.

  • We are spending the night in a hotel not far from where the reception venue is and our house. We aren't leaving on our honeymoon until that Tuesday (we get married Saturday) so we are just staying for one "wedding night"

  • We are staying at the B&B we are having our ceremony and  reception at.

Most of our guests don't know the venue is a B&B, and the rooms are kind of pricy so I'm hoping we have the whole place to ourselves :)  I've blocked rooms off at hotels up the road so hopefully they all stay there.

My parents are hosting a picnic for guests the following day at their house which is about 5 min away so it'll be nice to be close to that as well.

  • Our venue pays for our room at one of the hotels in town that night. We will also be block booking rooms at that hotel as they give us a rate for having our wedding where we are.
