Polish/American DJs

I'm wondering if any of you know of any polish/american djs. FIs family is all Polish and mine is all American. We'd like to get someone who can speak Polish and English and play both types of music. We had a DJ chosen already (no deposit down thank goodness) but he will not return any of our calls so we don't want to book with him anymore. If he can't even return our phone calls, how can I be sure he'll even show up at the wedding!!Any suggestions would be helpful - thanks in advance!

I don't know of any but you might want to try contacting a polish band - alot of them play music just like a dj these days in between sets and they all have announcers who speak polish.  So you could ask if they can provide someone to just play the music instead of the whole band.  Might work.  Otherwise, try looking in the Ansonia and New Britain areas - large polish communities there.  GL!

I don't know of any polish speaking DJ's but our family is also polish && italian && we played mixes of both music - Our DJ was italian so he suggested which italian songs to play && I just asked my family which polish songs they'd like to hear && gave him the list. I thought it worked out well. We used Jimmy Nuzzo with Dance to the Music Entertainment. www.dttment.comBTW - Jimmy was also great with pronouncing all the polish names, we went over them a little beforehand and it was perfect when he annouced. (cwiertniewicz isn't exactly easy for an italian lol but he did great and said it correctly!!) HTH.

you might want to also try contacting St. Stanislaus Church in New Haven - that's where we got married && it's a polish church, they still does masses in Polish so they might be able to give you some recs. or know of someone within the church community. I know they have 2 (possibly 3) different cantors that sing in both english && polish. You never know who knows who ... just a suggestion.
