DJ Pricing in Ffld County...what's the norm??

Hey ladies.. I tried researching pricing on dj's however, noone shows their pricing online... everyone wants you to call them!! I know someone in the dj industry and we've decided to go with him. We're going to be meeting with him next week and I want to go in knowing what the ballpark norm is for dj's these days, just to make sure I don't end up paying way too much. Any input????... THANKS!!!!!Maria

I don't know if there is a norm per se, but I've seen everything from $500-$2000. It really depends on who you choose and what you get.

I agree with Vikki's pricing.  It seems to be $500 for those single person DJs.  It's not a big company and it's just one guy and his equipment. (that doesn't mean they're not experienced though... they're just a smaller outfit)  If you go into the bigger companies where they have several DJs for you to choose from and they offer lots of other services (lighting, TVs, etc) it seems to start closer to $1000 and go up to $4000 or more.  Of course that if you use their lighting services, etc.
