I went to a lot last year- the one at UCONN is great, it's November 5 or 6 this year (it's a sunday). I didn't care much for the casino one, I loved the hartford one in January and there was one in Providence I went to that I liked. I really just go to enter drawings/raffles, have a good time and get ideas. The UCONN one is actulaly where all my vendors came from, very small and personal.

Just wondering why you are asking if you are already married?  Either way, I only went to Woodwinds because it was free if you were booked there (and we are).  It was me, FI (he came for the food), my mom, FI's mom.  There were a lot of vendors but we already had some booked so we kinda just let them blab and didn't pay attention.  I don't know if I will go again this year because we already have everything lined up.  If I do go, I might bring someone else with me other than FI just for fun.

The very first one I went to was at the Harbor Yard Arena in Bridgeport--it was huge & had so many vendors! We found our photographers there & our venue! <3

I also went to Casades bridal show in February which was awesome & Giovanni's in Darien's--also great!

I have heard good things about the one at Woodwinds!

I am a fan of Bridal Shows--they gave me such great info & allowed me some convo's with potential vendors! We almost won some prizes too!!

haha I didn't even think about how that would look lol.  My best friend is getting married and so she wants to go to bridal shows.  I went to one at our venue and the one at Foxwoods, but I wasn't sure if any of you had others that were good.  I can't say the one at Foxwoods was helpful at all and the one at my venue was more of just because we were booked there.  We already had all of our vendors booked so we could show a couple of our friends the venue and try out some of their hor d'oeuvres.  Thanks!

I actually enjoyed the Foxwoods one, just for the show. I was getting married in Southeastern CT, so I think they are also only helpful if you go to a local one--and if you are still considering any vendors or looking around. I did find my photographer there and I really fond it helpful to see lots of photographers and their portfolios in one place like that and really compare prices, styles, etc. I also looked for a cake person there, but ultimately found that vendor through another source.

I also heard that there was one at the Crocker House Ballroom in New London, but I did not attend as it was soon after the Foxwoods one and I was all set with vendors.
