We spent around $11k, but I'll give a background first.. we were living literally rent free at his grandmother's old house and we booked it 14 months in advance so we'd have time to save and pay it off.

That price included our flight to Vegas where we went for 2 nights after the wedding, our hotel in Vegas, a rental car that we drove to LA to fly to Fiji. Then our flights back and forth to Fiji, 10 nights in a Honeymoon Bure at our resort, and all of our meals and activities. Then our flight to come home from LA.

Yes, it was a toooon of money, but it was a once in a lifetime trip and we were so thankful that we had the opportunity to go on such an amazing trip plus we made payment installments throughout the course of the 14 months to help break up the cost. Friends of ours spent more than we did to stay in one of those Rondoval suites at Sandals and we thought they were crazy because with that budget they could have gone to Maldives, South Africa, French Polynesia, Greece, Italy, Hawaii, etc..

I absolutely agree with you! If we ever go back to Sandals, we're getting one of the "lowest" rooms because its all the same service and food and all that.

we were originally looking at a trip to Tahiti and Bora Bora for about $10,000...I'm still itching to just do it. However, right now, we're planning on the olympics and europe in 2012...but we'll see haha

Royal Caribbean 7 nights Southern Caribbean cruise (large balcony room), and 2 nights at Intercontinental San Juan (ocean view). I was so excited about how little we were spending for the flight/hotel/cruise ($3200) but unfortunately we spent another $5500 on foods in San Juan, shopping, casino and alcohol. Tongue out

Kate, I love your pics from Fiji. Truly looks like pure heaven!  Now that I think of it DH and I should of just took the unpaid time off and went to Fiji or Bora Bora. We ended up spending way more than we wanted in the Caribbean.

We're in the process of booking ours, and it looks like it'll be 6-8K for a trip to Greece and a few of the islands there. We don't want to do a cruise there, so this will just be trips to each. We were going to add on a stop in Ibiza, and are still looking into that.

Melko- we are also looking to go to London for the 2012 olympics!!!! It's something we are so pumped about once we found out it was going to be there. I love London!

Greece for 9 nights - 11 days is costing us about $8,000 (hotels, airfare, ferries) but that doesn't include spending money or lunch/dinner.  All places include breakfast.

We are going to Athens for the first two nights, Naxos for three nights, Santorini for three nights and then back to Athens for a night.

We saved about $2k booking it ourselved and not going thru a travel agent.

While we were watching the last olympics, I said to DH, "the next time the olympics are in an english speaking country, we're going!" The next week or so we found out they were going to be in London.

We figure we'll start to seriously think about babies after that trip haha

We booked Hawaii (2 Islands) for 11 days- approximately $6,000 including air, car rental, hotel).  The flight was actually a lot better than I thought it would be ($750 each, somewhere in that range?)
This price doesn't include all of the acitivities that you could do, which I know can get expensive.

    we went to costa rica
11 days including flights and transfers etc. total was about 4800
The place we stayed honeymoon suite on the beach was such a good deal. $225 per night including breakfast. then everything else was so cheap there and we went out to at least two meals a day and did a lot of activities.
We were pleased to stay under 5k which was our goal.

BUT....we are also leaving in 9 days to go to London, France and Amsterdam for a week. Our friends have a wedding in france so we made a trip out of it. Knowing that we were spending less on the HM meant we could go do that so we'll probably be up there after this trip!!

We're booked our honeymoon to Disney for 7 nights, and we're staying at the Beach Club. Non-stop flight, hotel, park/waterpark tickets and all meals for about $4000. We are also thinking of adding a 4 night Bahamas Disney cruise to the package, depending on how much time off FI has. That would run us about $1400 for the oceanview suite.

We haven't booked yet, but our plan is to go to an all-inclusive resort in Aruba for 7 days/nights.  Flights are about $600 each (taxes included, so about $1200 total) and then the resort for 7 nights is about $3900, so overall we are paying just over $5k for the honeymoon.  That's not including any extra excursions we may partake in, so maybe another $1k for that?

We are spending under 1,000 but that is only because my parents have one of those vacation packages with a hotel in Cancun where the pay a flat fee and get four weeks a year of vacation time and they are giving us one of their weeks as a wedding present. The resort is all-inclusive except for excursions and flights. I am really excited because otherwise with all the money we are putting towards the wedding we would not be able to afford a honeymoon.

We spent around $3k.  We booked a Carnival cruise for 8 nights to the eastern carribean with a balcony suite.  Since we took it right out of NY there was no flight fees.  The actual cruise was $2500, but we spent about $400 on excursions, a special dinner, activities, shopping, and tips.  We are not big drinkers so thats why the excess bill was so small!

    We are about 10k.

Our cruse was 6k for two of us but it is 12 nights and includes meals and stuff.

Our flights to Europe were 2k RT.

I added on an extra 2k for staying in Italy and fun excursions.

We have a house already so we are registering for our honeymoon of a life time (Rome, Egypt, Isreal, Santorini, Athens, Naples, Capri, and back to Rome).

We are going to Galley Bay, an all inclusive in Antigua - and have a private cottage wtih its own plunge pool - for about $5000 for 10 days...just have to get the airfare which will add on another $1k.  I'm sure there will be some excursions/special occassions built it, so I'm going thinking another $1500 to $2k for that stuff.

We're going to Ireland the first week of March for our honeymoon cost us around 2500. Which includes airfare from JFK to Dublin ( both ways) an automatic car ( which over there is a big deal I presume) 7 nights in a suite at the Ritz-Carlton. and that is all the taxes and fees and crap. I thought was an amazing deal. We are also bringing about 2500$ spending cash since it is a little expensive over there especiall for gas. SO pumped.

We did Disney World for 7 days.

We spent about $2500, but that included everything, our hotel passes to the parks, tickets to a hockey game, food, drink, and gas down and back. (I'm crazy, I love to drive to florida.)

We just booked ours. $1k for non-stop airfare, plus ~$1700 for 7 days in our suite in Cancun.  We were lucky enough to know someone who had a timeshare that wouldn't be using it next year.  Now we'll just have to pay for the food :)
