Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana

Hi Ladies!
  My FI and I just booked our flights and airport transfer for our honeymoon in May.  His parents were kind enough to offer to cash in their vacation club points to get us a week at the Paradisus Palma Real in Punta Cana, DR.  I have previously done a search on here for this resort but it seems like the posts are several years old. Have any of you ladies been there more recently or are planning on going there for your honeymoon?  Any advice/tips etc. on restaurants, things to do, or excursions?  We definitely want to do some snorkeling and I would love to do a dolphin swim if it was worth it.

Hi! My husband and I stayed at the Paradisus this past April, which is about 15 minutes from the Palma Reale. We pretty much stayed on the resort the entire time with the exception of the excusions so we didnt try out any resturants.. We did the dune buggy tour, which was sooo much fun but messy. You will get muddy so dont wear anything nice if you do it. We did the 2 hour horse back ride. Also a lot of fun, but 2 hours on a horse is a lot so you might want to do the 1 hour and wear capris or long shorts. Saddles can pinch in shorts. We also did the snorkling/catamaran tour to the stingray bay. It was fun but we decided the next time go back we will do a private snorkle. There were about 80- 100 people on the boat and when we went snorkling they kept us in one small section. It was very hard to see anything and interact with the fish with all the splashing and kicking. We were really disappointed because we were into the snorkling more than the boat/entertainment. We also heard the Zipline was amazing but we didnt get the chance to do it.
Book all your excursions through the resort at their main desk. There are a lot of companies and the resort will only guarentee them if you book through them. If you have any more questions PM me. Hope you have fun! We LOVED it there.
