Vacation Ideas for Parents

I want to get my parents a night away as a thank you for the wedding but I'm stuck coming up with ideas.  My parents live in Fairfield County and have been to NYC, Newport, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and Block Island.  I'd like to pick a place besides those that is up to 3 hours away.  They would like to do things like a winery tour or see some scenery.  Any suggestions?

    Vermont might be nice. I live in Fairfield County and we have a house in Dorset, VT - right next to Manchester - and it is about 3 hours. The Dorset Inn is a nice place to stay and there is definitely a lot of scenery. Manchester has outlets if they like to shop. The Equinox is nice too but very expensive. There is definitely no shortage of inns and b&bs to stay at in the area!

    What about Mystic? Cute town with lots to do and there are a couple of wineries.

    This is a little closer to Fairfield County but there is a place in Washington Dept where there is a winery and beautiful scenery.
