I just got a quote back from the TA.  The price looks pretty good to me, but I'm wondering, how much should we expect to spend on food and drinks??  We'll be there for 6 nights.

We are spending 9 days there, and are planning for around $1000-1200. You are probably looking to spend at least $100/day. You also have to take into consideration- are you going to eat all meals out? do you drink? are you going to go to the local grocery and buy snacks?

we are planning to go to the grocery and purchase breakfast items and snacks. we are planning to spend the majority of our 'food' money on dinners and some drinks!

If you plan to eat out alot, I second $100/day, minimum.  We spent far more than that actually but we ate out 3 meals a day, mostly at our hotel.  If you are drinkers, two drinks at the hotel bar or pool with tip was $30 every time.

$100 a day is probably a good estimate.  You can easily spend more, but it might be a bit of a challenge to spend less.  We ate breakfast at our condo most mornings mornings ($10), for lunch we ate at the local hideaways ($20-$30), and for dinner we averaged between ($40-$60).  Our most expensive meals after tax and tip were Sansei Seafood Restaurant ($75) and Mama's Fish House ($115)
