Mystic Seaport (North Lawn) brides

hey ladies!
i've been MIA lately--swamped w/ work and doing wedding things in between... getting so close, its insane!

Anyways, question for you... we recently decided to move our wedding to the North Lawn, instead of the gazebo inside the Seaport. We were originally planning to have the florist decorate the gazebo with flowers to bring in our wedding colors/make it prettier.

Do they let you stick anything in the ground/decorate the North Lawn? What did you do for decorations?? I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to stick stuff in the ground, but I really like those shepherd-hook type of things w/ tealights/flowers etc... and what about an arch of something where the "altar" would be?? Or am I overthinking it, and it really doesn't need decorations?

Hi! So I am getting married on North Lawn in August and you are allowed to stick shepards hooks into ground and can also do an arch for ceremony. However, I feel its so beautiful you may not need an arch. I was toying with that Idea for a while but decided to forgo it. Hope this helps!! I am doing the shepards hooks and I got the ok from the coordinator.

YAY!! :) Thanks so much, that's good to hear! I might have to order some shepherd's hooks behind FI's back lol--this is def something he would consider "unnecessary"... but they're soo cute! Did your florist just get them for you?
