Save the Date/Invitations

Hello,
Where is everyone buying Save the Dates and Invitations and how much are you spending on each?

Re: Save the Date/Invitations

  • I got mine from vista print. STDs were about $60 and i was able to use a coupon for the invites and got them for around $75- amazing deal.

  • we used wedding paper divas for the invitations around 400 for 120 (invites, rsvp cards, rsvp envelopes, inserts, and envelopes) and we got our std from vista print for 130 they were on sale and the we found coupon codes online for both sites
  • I designed mine myself on Adobe Illustrator, printed them via VistaPrint for free (to see VistaPrint deals, click HERE).  I had them printed 3 per large postcard, cut them up using a paper slicer, then attached them with spray adhesive to magnetic sheets I purchased online, then cut those out using the paper slicer.  It was very time consuming, but it ended up costing total under $0.75 per magnet with 100 magnets made, so $75.  I'm thrilled with how they turned out!

We're sending them out next week, so approximately 8 months in advance of the wedding.

For invitations, I'm likewise designing my own on Adobe Illustrator and having them printed on a high quality color laser printer.  We're folding our own cardstock and using lace as a bellyband.  Again, it'll be time consuming, but I think it'll be worth it!!!

  • We got our STD's at MagnetStreet.  I want to say they were about $150 for 125 of them.  We got our invitations from 123print.com.  They were also about $150 for 200 invites w/ envelopes, 200 response cards w/ envelopes, 500 return address labels for us, 250 return address labels for my parents, and 500 Thank You postcards.  The quality of them is great too, I highly recommend them.
  • We got our STD and Invites from Jess at EstoPrints. She was the most affordable that i met with!
  • We got our STDs at magnetstreet.com and I think they were about $200. Our invitations are coming from mygatsby.com and will cost $500 for 75 invites.

  • We're using Vistaprint! I got a Groupon- $17 for $70 worth, and used a bunch of their discounts, so it was pretty cheap for the Save the Dates (it was about $13 shipping but I also got a huge lawn sign so it might be less for you). I got another groupon to use for the invites too.
  • I went with someone local for mine... DesignerJen.org.  She's a CT radio personality and an incredible graphic designer.  It's a little more expensive than VistaPrint but you get incredible service and great invites.  She's super creative and came up with ideas that I hadn't even thought of, and worked with me to come up with the exact invite I wanted.  Her prices are really good too!
  • thank you for the responses!
  • We got our STD from invitingfriendz.com.  The designer is Nicole and she is absolutely amazing to work with! Her work is fantastic and her prices are amazing! We just started to work on our invitations with her too! Couldn't be any more pleased!

  • I emailed Save The Date and made my own invitations.  I end up spending about a little over a $1 per invitation after adding all the supplies.

  • Ditto Maria and Manda, we are working with Jen (DesignerJen.org) she is awesome.  We are still early in the process but after seeing her work in person it was an easy decision.  I wanted someone local that we would be able to meet in person.

We are also using her for DOC services which I am beyond excited about!
  • We are going to be printing our own off of stationary from Michael's. They have all matching STDs and invites and will cost us less than $100 for 80 of each and we will be able to just print them off our computer.
