[QUOTE]I am getting married at the Barns at Wesleyan Hills in Middletown.  The CT wedding group which runs the Barns also does the Wadsworth Mansion and Pavilion at Crystal Lake in Middletown.  Another nice location is St. Clements Castle in Portland, CT

We are having our ceremony at St Pius as well!  June 2012....our venue is WOODWINDS...we were on a budget and they are AWESOME.  If there was no budget I would have gone with Water's Edge, I am in love with their grounds and the sea views there.

We went with the Carousel at Lighthouse Point in New Haven.  We dined and danced to views of Long Island Sound all night.  Our guests dipped out of the reception to stroll on the beach by moonlight.  And everyone loved the (operating) carousel!

Another Mystic Aquarium bride here! The aquarium is so unique, and people will always remember your wedding! The aquarium in Norwalk also does weddings, that is much closer to stanford. I love the opportunity to theme it as a cape cod/seaside wedding :)

I second the suggestion that you check out the Inn at Longshore in Westport, CT.  We just saw the venue on Friday night and it was BEAUTIFUL.  I was determined to get a Saturday evening in the summer of 2012, but for this venue we may take a Friday evening.  (Still have more places to see, so not sure yet!)  The photos online definitely do not do it justice.

I'm getting married at the Branford House in Groton in kess than two months, yikes! It is such a dreamy venue. I looked at pretty much everything in the Mystic/Stonington/Groton area so if you have an idea of what kind of feel you are interested in I can give info on more venues.

I'm also a Branford House bride and I cannot say enough awesome things about it!  I looked all over RI, MA, and CT.  We wanted a place that felt elegant and yet comfortable for all our guests, like having people over to our home (if we lived in a gorgeous mansion).  We also needed to be able to have a ceremony on site, and we wanted a water view with a big lawn.  It is PERFECT!  And it has a lighthouse on property - how awesome is that?!

Anyway, I found the Branford House by browsing Style Me Pretty.  And I saw the mansion and thought, "Wow, that's gorgeous, I bet it's super expensive.  I wonder where it is?  Oh, it's in Connecticut?  Hmm.. gotta be RIDICULOUSLY expensive!  Let me look it up.  Oh, you mean it's 1/4 the price of similar venues in RI?  And offers more time?  And doesn't charge for the ceremony?  And supplies tables and chairs?  WHERE CAN I SIGN?!"
