Engagement photos suggestions

FI and I are going to be traveling back east for wedding stuff next month, and
I'm at a loss on where to take my engagement photos. We really like Harkness
Park, but our photographer is out of Stamford, so in the event that he doesn't
want to travel that far I need some other ideas.

We like the idea of having gardens or park like scenery, and having water nearby would be a plus. We're doing a sort of vintage inspired shoot, just to give you an idea. Any and
all suggestions are appreciated! TIA!

Re: Engagement photos suggestions

  • Have you heard of the duck pond in milford?  I found a few engagement photos taken there when I did a google search and it looks like a pretty place.  I'm not super familiar with areas near stamford, but there might be some places in fairfield?  There is also southford falls in Southbury, CT.
  • Idk the Stamford area at all.  But Chatfield Hollow in Killingworth is beautiful! FI and I had pics done there and we had so many options there.  Good Luck
  • The Cove Park area is along the beach and could be great.  You'd have to pay for parking if dont have a resident sticker or park along a side street nearby and walk.  The Barlett Arborteum is in Stamoford, I've never been there so I dont know if there is a waterfall/river nearby. I also have seen pics of engagement sessions done at Cranbury Park in Norwalk-not sure about water but they have some great buildings!  Hope this helps!
  • Waiting to here back from the photog to see if he'll travel to Harkness. Fingers crossed! Thanks for all the ideas ladies!
  • Avery Point in Groton is also very nice! There's a mansion and water!
