Airbrush makeup, I don't know if I like it?

First let me start by saying I don't wear foundation on a normal basis. i wear undereye concealer and fountain unnder my eyes and light makeup. I had my airbrush makeup trial today ( #3) The artist is highly recommended. Well, upclose my makeup looks cakey and feels heavy. With a good camera I like my makeup. Everyone says airbrush makeup is light and airy. I don't feel that way at all. Do I keep airbrush because I like it in photographer ( my boyfiend owns a high end camera much like the one photographers use) or ??

  • I know sometimes they have to go heavier if they are trying to cover something up. But, did you let the artist know. Sometimes having a facial really helps especially if your skin is dry, which makes the makeup not look smooth.

I have had airbrush makeup done twice, and I personally have not felt cakey or like the makeup was heavy.  Did the makeup artist put anything on your face prior to applying the airbrush? Also, because you are a light makeup wearer it might just not feel right because you are not used to having anything on your face or being all done up :):) Do you feel comfortable to post a picture of it? I would also be honest with the artist and talk with her about the idea of foundation over airbrush and if you get another  trial have her do foundation instead of airbrush.

i just had my makeup done by Danielle Santagata (she is also doing my makeup for the wedding) for my e-pictures last week. We were talking wedding stuff, and she recc. not going for too many facials bf the big day because it dries out your skin. She also used a mixture of both airbrush, and foundation in some areas, but that is just her style and what she feels works best. She said if she didn't use the foundation she would go heavier with the airbrush or just heavier with the airbrush on the day of to make sure it stays all day. It looked flawless, and it felt great!

If you don't like it, don't wear it.  None of my married friends have worn airbrushed makeup, and I won't be, either.
  • Who did it? Just asking because I'm having mine done by a place highly recommended on here.
