This is my first post, but I was wondering if there is a bride getting married at Branford House Mansion in Groton, CT August 9th or 11th 2013?   Maybe we could see if we could help eachother out with rental items!  Let me know-

Congrats!  How exciting!   I think the Branford House is beautiful.  Any helpful tips let me know!!  Is your caterer providing your liquor?  I was thinking of providing iit myself and getting a liquor license and hire bartenders....not sure.  Good luck with everything and Congrats again!

Yes, our caterer is providing everything food, liquor, bartenders, linens. They are fantastic and their food is unbelievable. You should check them out Emily's Catering. Rick is the owner and he's great. My only tip is that you should hire a DOC since the woman Katherine is totally hands off. Have fun planning and feel free to ask any questions!

Just got married at the Branford House on Sept 1st!  I ditto Lori, fantastic venue, and Rick at Emily's Catering is just the person to pull it all together in such a DIY space (you'll quickly find out that Katherine at Branford House is not very helpful).

I am also a Branford House bride and we hired a DOC after reading everything about how unhelpful Katherine can be.
