  • Post this on the Minneapolis board.  Links are under "Local Wedding Boards"  off to the left.

    My suggestions for Minneapolis/St. Paul
*Go to a play at the Guthrie Theater
    *MN Zoo (not Como Zoo)
*Take a long walk at the Arboretum, Minnehaha Falls, or the Sculpture Garden
    *Take a dinner riverboat cruise
*For fun - eat dinner at Chino Latino
*Visit the Minneapolis Museum of Art
*Science Museum in St. Paul with lunch at Cossetta's
*Take a day trip to Taylor's Falls and go for a canoe trip
*I'm not a huge personal fan of the Mall of America, but it is fun for visitors.

Have you considered going up to Duluth, Gooseberry Falls, etc?

  • Second the Duluth area!  It's gorgeous, lots to do, and tends to have more mild summer weather than the southern and middle part of the state.

What do you like to do?  I second all of Wisc's ideas, also there are a bunch  of cool state and local parks in the area as well.

  • Duluth is super pretty! a lot to do and really romantic. MSP there is lot to do but it isn't super romantic. at lease I don't think so.  but I am from there.

I am in love with Gooseberry Falls!

I agree with PP's. The Duluth area is amazing. We absolutely love spending time up there.

As far as MPLS, I agree with Wisc but to add a few:
    - Twins Game at Target Field
    - Stillwater day trip (they have riverboat cruises out of here, too)
    - Walker Art Center (and sculpture garden)
    - Walk around Minnehaha Falls and eat at Sea Salt
    - Walk around Lake Calhoun, rent a kayak and eat at Tin fish.
    - The bandshell (fee music and movies outdoors) and the Rose Gardens at Lake Harriett

    HTH!
  • I love Duluth. So much to do up there!

  • My fiance and I are also getting married in MN, and we considered the North Shore, but are likely going to go to a B&B in LaCrosse, WI.  It's beautiful there, and has lots of things to do, and as we have a fall wedding, we won't have to worry about extreme weather.  (Because while getting "snowed in" on the honeymoon sounds fun, it isn't always, and my cat would miss me.)
