Found Our First Dance Song!!!!

FH and I have been casually looking for a killer first dance song. We are open to anything,but are trying to find a song that isn't 'done' a lot. Well, we found it! 

When we first started dating Katy Perry's song Teenaged Dream was EVERYWHERE. We call it our first song because every night when we would hang out it would come on the radio a million times. And now we just stumbled across this cover:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAUMU3QQE6w

I am so pumped! We want to surprise everyone at the wedding, so I had to post it her. ))

Lovely song! That will sound fantastic. Just a word of advice- you might want to talk with your DJ about cutting it shorter. We didn't do that and I felt like I was dancing forever, haha.

That is pretty great, there are so many songs that have great lyrics but the popiness of it is too much.  I agree with @Moonlight, it feels like you are out there forever.  Another suggestion instead of cutting it off is at a certain point in the song have the bridal party join you and they can dance with their date and then invite everyone else up, the DJ can do the announcing for the different people to join in.

cdbishop - that is EXACTLY what my FH said last night. We will bring our bridal party out about half way through to break things up a bit.

FI and I are huge fans of rock, and our favorite band is Theory of a Deadman. One song, in particular has a lot of meaning for us - All or Nothing. That's the one we'll be doing for our first dance.
