Book with a travel agent?

My FI and I are planning on doing a cruise with Norwegian. I found it while I was browsing on the AAA website. I don't know if it's better to book it through AAA or just book it through Norwegian. Which one would be the better option?

    Actually I would check out cruisecompete.com.  It's a free online service that allows you to enter your specific cruise information and then generates quotes from various travel agencies for you.  I used it for my 2009 cruise and ended up with onboard credit (on NCL) and a bottle of wine in the stateroom.  I would use it again in a heartbeat.

    We also booked with a travel agent.  I like to search for deals and what not, but I can't beat her prices, and then I don't have to worry about matching up flight times with ship boarding, transfers, and all the other stuff that goes with it.  Makes everything very stress free!

I always use a travel agent.  It doesn't cost more, usually they can get you a better deal, like cruise credits to help pay your bar bill.  If something goes wrong, you will have a 3rd party to step in and negotiate for you with the cruise lines.  Otherwise, it will be just you vs. mega-cruise inc. AAA will do a fine job for you.  If you want to try another source for comparison, PM me, and I will give you the name of the online agent I have used for the last 5 cruises.  (You talk to him on the telephone.  It's not just over the internet.) PS.  Don't forget to buy travel insurance, but don't buy it from the cruise line.  We use Travelguard.com.
