VEGAS VIRGIN HERE!!

We just decided we're going to Vegas on our honeymoon!  CHECK!  (finally)  I want to hear where you think we should stay, what should we see??

We are looking for a hotel that is fun but still nice.  And I have to have a nice pool since we aren't going to a AI resort! ;)  I'm thinkin the Mirage is looking pretty cool.

If we want to see a certain show do we have to book it ahead of time or can we buy tickets there?

Thanks Ladies!

  • I have seen a ton of shows in Vegas, and I recommend "O" at the Bellagio.  It's the best and so worth the money.  You can buy tickets there, but if you want good seats, go ahead and book now.

The Mirage is a great hotel.  Centrally located!  Good choice!

  • Have a terrific time! I'm getting married in Vegas at Caesars Palace!

Hotels I love Wynn, Caesars, anywhere at the new city center ( they may have some promotions going on now....brand new places!) , Mirage, Bellagio, Paris, Venetian

I love Cirque De soliel Love and O! Usually book my shows in advance just in case. There are many times they're available there...but itf you have your heart set on something get it in advance. I even loved Teri Fator. Funny ventriloquist show. Didn't think I would like it but it was alot of songs and was funny! I loved every song!

I also LOVE going down to fremont street downtown in the old part of Vegas. I always tend to win down there for some reason. Maybe looser slots? Also cheaper tables! Lots of free drinks and cheap stuff! :)

Check out the pools, maybe a spa, shows, shopping....i love just walking from hotel to hotel and seeing what each place has to offer, clubs, great restaurants.

Carnival court is a really fun outdoor bar with music by Harrahs on the strip.

If you can't afford to stay at an expensive place the whole time and need to switch it up for a couple nights....not sure how long you're going.check out The Orleans. Just off the strip ( like 2 miles) and great deals. Most of my guests will be staying there for the wedding. Love it because they have a pool, spa, gym, cheap food, movie theatre, bowling alley, live music.....we usually have alot of fun here if on a budget

Also check out las vegas knotties page. Go to that city. There are sooooooo many nice and helpful girls there that can give you advice and their fav places. :)

  • We stayed at MGM Grand last year soley because of their pool complex. We loved their lazy river! The cocktail waitresses come right up to your beach chair or to the pool/lazy river and you can bring your drinks into the river. You're also right next to Wet Republic.

As far as shows, we got free tickets to Circue du Soleil for booking our trip through Expedia and we chose to see KA at MGM Grand and it was amazing! If you're at MGM Grand you're right across the street from New York New York and we loved the roller coaster there. We're staying in Vegas 2 nights before leaving out of LA for our HM and the rollercoaster is something FI is really excited about going on again. We also want to stop back at Rum Jungle in Mandalay Bay. HTH!
  • We ate at BOA Steakhouse at Caesar's and it was yummy!

We were only there for a weekend so I don't really have any other good recs. We stayed at the Stratosphere since it was free, but I wouldn't recommend it lol...too far away from everything!

  • There are so many great places.  The Wynn, Mirage, MGM Grand, Caesar's, Bellagio are all great hotels.  As for shows, you can't go wrong with any of the Cirque de Soliel shows....check out different websites because there are often free ticket deals or BOGO deals on the tickets.  Also, our favorite restaurant is Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Caesar's-AWESOME!

  • We saw REVE and it was AMAZING!!! It's not a cirque show but I think the guy that did it used to work for Reve. You can get these amazing tickets where you get champagne and chocolate covered strawberries brought to you!!

  • I never considered Las Vegas as a honeymoon destination.  Nothing against it, just never thought about it, but I've never been there and I think it would be fun.
