Bahamas Resort Suggestion

Hello ladies,

I was hoping that some of you may have a suggestion for a Bahamas Resort to stay at. I would prefer an AI. FI and I just want to kick back and relax, soak up the sun. I would like to snorkel and swim with dolphins, but that is about all. I would say our budget is between $3000-$5000ish. We are planning for around November 6-13th. Thank you for any and all advice and suggestions!!

Re: Bahamas Resort Suggestion

  • Have you looked into the Riu on paradise island?  I think you can go over to Atlantis during the day.  I know they have the dolphins over there.  I was looking for October and for flight and hotel and being AI the total was around 4000.

  • I love the Sandals Royal Bahamian.  We've been there twice.  Lots of choices for restaurants, a few pools and nice beach.

Just so you are aware (and maybe you already are!), the average temp in the Bahamas in November is just under 70 degrees. I know for some that is warm, but for a lot of people, that would not be warm enough for beach activities. To answer your main question, the Bahamas main AIs are Sandals, but there is a Riu that will be a little less expensive, as the pp mentioned.

  • I was in the Bahamas in December, and the PP is right - slightly chilly and very breezy! We went for a destination wedding so weren't choosing to go at this time - but it was so windy we couldn't spend more than 5 minutes on the beach due to the blowing sands and the wind. If you have any questions about the island, feel free to message me, I have been a few times recently and would be happy to help.
  • We went to Sandals Emerald Bay for my 30th birthday last year and LOVED  it!  I had been to Paradise Island with my family years ago and did not want the craziness of it for this trip but still wanted somewhere "close" for us.  Our travel agent recommended Emerald Bay and we were really happy with it.  If you need a travel agent recommendation, PM me and I can send you her info.

Do you golf?  There is golf at that resort, so if you aren't a big pool/beach person, it gives you another option!

    Hope that helps!
