Affordable DJ

My FI didn't think we could fit a DJ into our budget, but we've found a more affordable caterer, so we think we can. We want to find a DJ for under $1,000. I know when I was researching a couple of months ago there were some, but I didn't keep that information. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I just booked with Zach Dauphinais and he was well under $1,000.  I went to a wedding last weekend where he was the DJ.  Chatted with him a little bit (informally, because the man was working after all), really liked him, and so we signed a few days later!  His website is www.zdsignatureevents.com

DJae Melee is well under that price range too.

I'm using Neil Roma with Spin Enterprises, he was also under $1000.  We met with him last weekend and were very impressed by his professionalism and experience.

I'm using Bob at Entertainment Unlimited, he has been great through our whole planning process and very fast at responding to e-mails

Starry Nite Entertainment with Tom Salatto as the DJ.  I was a little nervous since we never met in person (since I live out of state) until the week before the wedding.  Honestly, his emails were cheesy for my tatse.  However, he was a fabulous DJ and completely listened to everything we asked for.  The dance floor was packed all night and everyone is still talking about how much fun they had even though it was almost 3 months ago.  (Seriously, last night while out with friends we were reliving the crazy dancing that was going on).  He's definitely under the budget too.

<div>I got married on August 11 2012 in CT and we used DJ Shenn from MA.  I found him on here and never actaully met him until the day of our wedding.  I was nervous as anyone would be, but he was nothing short of AMAZING!!!! He responded so quick to every email I sent him which helped with trusting him and a major plus was his prices were so reasonable as I wanted uplighting included and did not want to spend a fortune.  He had a package with DJ services and uplighting for $1000, which I didnt think was bad at all.  I have been to 3 other weddings the past 2 years and I can honestly say we had the best DJ.  All my guests, just danced the nigt away and they still rave about the music and the last wedding I went to the music was so awful almost 90% of the wedding sat the entire night.  Also, DJ Shenn has the largest music library I have ever seen, 56,000+ songs, and believe it or not, there was ONE song he didnt have that I wanted and he downloaded it with no issue.  </div><div>
