I just got the call that my dress came in (yay!) from the White Dress by The Shore. Now, I loved buying my dress there and had a wonderful experience, so I'm not saying anything negative about the store, however they sent me some information on alterations that says they average about $500-$800 dollars! This seems really steep to me, so I was just wondering on average what you girls were spending on alterations, if you used TWDBTS for your alterations, and if anyone could reccomend a seamstress somewhere in the Waterbury/Naugatuck area?

That is definately the going rate for quality work on a designer gown.

I know I can't help with an seamstress in CT, but I got my dress at White Dress by the Shore and got it altered somewhere in MA for $150 because I thought White Dresses prices were ridiculous, you can find somewhere much cheaper.

My dress shop ranges from 100-300 depending on what needs to be done
