Woodwind Bride!

We are getting married at Woodwinds!  Since they do not have a tasting...I was wondering how the food tastes.  We did receive a complimentary dinner for two to their restaurant in Madison because we booked with them....however, we will not be tasting the wedding food.
Does anyone have any insight on the food?

Woohoo!!! Congrats!!! I'm a Woodwinds bride too!  I can tell you the food is delicious.  I haven't had the entrees but we went to the bridal show last year and they have appetizers for you to taste.  I do know people that have been to weddings there and they said the food is amazing.  I also went out to lunch with my mom, cousin (MOH) and aunt to Cafe Allegre last spring and that was good food too.  I also recommend J-Cakes out of the bakeries you are offered for your cake.  The other 2 were pretty dry and all flavors tasted the same, but J-Cakes was moist and tasty.  They do tastings too.

When is the wedding?  Can you tell I'm excited about the venue? haha

Wow!! Thanks so much for the feedback!!  Our date is May 2013.  I did select to go to J-Cakes for the tasting as I was impressed with the pictures on their webite.  Now I am browsing Woodwinds vendor list for DJs.  Wish us luck!!

For DJ you will find DJ Melee is highly recommended on this board and very reasonable with pricing.  If you want to book him you have to book him quickly, he fills up extremely fast!  We booked in him Feb for our June 2012 wedding.

Thanks! I justed looked at his website!  He seems very professional and FUN!!  Do you know if the DJ have experience with Woodwinds?

Yup he does.  He said it is one of his favorite venues and loves the food!  We are using him as well.

I went there for my cousins wedding a few years ago, the food was decent but my prime rib (ordered medium well) was practically moo-ing on my plate and that was gross...

I had my wedding at Woodwinds... the food is AMAZING. By far the best I've had at any wedding, so I'm glad it was mine Todd from Jock in the Box was our DJ and did an amazing job, he has a lot of experience at Woodwinds too.

I went to a close family friends wedding there last year and she had a buffet and it was delicious!

Which room did you book?  We booked the Firelight.  We loved the huge patio setting.

I'm a Woodwinds bride too!!!! My date is September 2013  We recently booked and Jo Anna told us to definitely attend their bridal show in February as they'll have samplings of their hors d'ouevres. My parents are the ones who recommended Woodwinds to us. Their financial advisor has his holiday party there every year and my mom said the food is to die for. I'm trying not to worry about there being no tasting because I can't find one bad review about the place on the internet. I can't wait to get married there!!!!

June 8th....that would have been fun if it was the same day lol...are you in the garden or firelight room?  We're in the garden...I am so excited I can't wait.

We are also in the Garden Room.  We have too many people to be in the Firelight Room.  We went to the bridal show last year and sampled the food (I went with FI, my mom, and his mom.)    The food was delicious .  I don't think we will go this year though since a lot of it has to do with meeting vendors or winning raffles for vendor services and we have all of those booked.  There was also a fashion show which was fun, but now that I have my dress I don't see much need for that.

I'm expecting 200 guests.  We chose the Firelight room (holds up to 240) because of the covered patio....just in case it rains...people can still go outside and mingle.  We are planning on attending the tasting.
