anyone from madison?

We are having a tiny wedding in madison (beach hotel) and the wedding will be over by 10pm. 

We were thinking about renting a bus (got a really good deal its realllly cheap) and busing our guest (20 people) to foxwoods.. any everyone would stay there that night (we would bus them from foxwoods to the casino too)

But now im kind of rethinking it and thinking I want to stay down by the shore. Madison beach hotel is way to expensive to stay at. Do you reccomend any hotels in the area? Any good bars etc to go to after the wedding?

I am from that area and you have a few different options. My favorite is the Scranton Seahorse Inn http://scrantonseahorseinn.com/ this B&B is awesome, not crazy expensive, and the food is killer. There are 'larger' hotels in Branford you could look into, as well as some B&Bs. As far as bars, Donohues is popular and often has live music. In Guilford there are a few different bars downtown that are fun/funky, including Sheps. Let me know if you want anything more specific!

I think you are wise to reconsider going to Foxwoods, it's a solid hour away from Madison so if your reception ends at 10 pm then by the time everyone gets on the bus etc you wouldn't be at Foxwoods until well after 11 pm and by that time people might wind down or be tired, also would people have to bring their luggage to the wedding or would you be busing them in from Foxwoods prior to your ceremony?  I don't have any suggestions of what to do in Madison but the pp's suggestions sound good!
