I was wondering when my FI and I should go for tuxes? We are getting married in 4 months and haven't even started to look. Half of the groomsman are for out of town, so we know that we are going to use Menswear house, but I just don't know when is good time to go.

We used men's wear house and the min amount of time they needed was one month away from the wedding.  (For kids and people who were trying to lose weight).  We had everyone else go about 1.5-2 months in advance.

I'm in the same boat as you with people from all over so we used Mens Warehouse because it was easy for everyone. We actually picked everything like 10 months before just to get it done and have one less thing to worry about, then the guys could go whenever they want up to a month before the wedding. They keep everything in the computer and you could always change your mind about things up to a month before.

We made an initial reservation with Mens Wearhouse wayyyy in advance so 4 mo. is definitely an OK time to book, especially because it takes a while for guys to make their way in and put their deposit down, etc. etc.
Since we made the reservation so far in advance, I think I stopped back in 3-4 mo. before our wedding date in order to finalize colors, etc.  And some of the guys got re-measured if they lost/gained weight.

I know that Mens Wearhouse gets mixed reviews but we had a really great experience. The suits came in early so no one was scrambling before the wedding and everything was accurate.  My dad used the Waterford store but everyone else used MA stores.

You could definitely go now! FI and I went to Mens Warehouse about two months ago to pick things out. We have guys in MA and all parts of NY with crazy work/school schedules and we wanted to give everyone plenty of time to get there.

I was in the same situation, we have guys in 6 different states, so we used mens wearhouse and they were able to go to their local one and mention our name so the style and stuff was already in the system and then just needed to be measured and say where they wanted to pick it up two days before the wedding.  The other nice thing is that they can be returned to any mens wearhouse, so the day after our wedding the best man took all of the tuxes and returned them so not everyone had to make it to a store that day.

Same here, guys are spread all over. FI and bestman went about 3 months out (so last month) and the last of the guys are just getting in their fittings this week. Men's Warehouse said the fitting deadline is usually a month before, but we made the deadline 2 months before because FI chose one of their newer designs and they wanted to be sure they had everything in order (kinda worries me hahaha!).
