I can't speak for eveything because we haven't had the wedding yet, but we booked the reception for next summer at the Inn at Longshore. I know people who have held events there and absolutely loved it. The prices are a bit expensive, but not outrageous for the area. For normal wedding season, they don't have a set cost but instead ask for a minimum spend. The minimum differs by when you have it- FI and I cannot afford the 30k required for a Saturday night wedding but since we had our heart set on the venue, we opted for the 13k minimum for an afternoon wedding. I couldn't believe the difference in price for the same food, length of time, and service. The food choices we are selecting are $90pp and $110pp but that includes eight appetizers with cocktail hour, unlimited open bar, and the three course meal. They are also very up front and their minimum spends include things like taxes and gratuities and there is no cake cutting fee. If you choose an out of season wedding, then you can do a per person fee with no minimum spend, but the choices are much more limited and it does not include as many appetizers, etc.

As far as the DJ, we aren't using their recommended vendors but are using a company we are familiar with- Dance to the Music Entertainment. They did a great job at FSILs wedding and really got people out of their seats. They are also reasonably priced and willing to work with you to create a package that you can afford but includes everything you are looking for.

If you have any more questions or want a more specific break down of prices for the Inn at Longshore, feel free to PM me. I have the price sheet for things like cocktail hour and specific meal choices if you need any more information.

Lots of fake snob appeal with the staff. Where as "Fronk" in out front was Franky Tazzoli in the back kitchen. If you know what I mean.  I worked at Splash for a summer several years ago.LOL

I was in my best friend's wedding there in May, and I thought they did a great job!
She had about 200 people and it felt like the perfect size... the layout is great with the dance floor in the center and your DJ up near the windows.

The wedding food was seriously the best food I've ever had-- the filet mignon was fantastic. It helped that the weather that day was perfect, and the outside cocktail hour and views were amazing. I can't think of one negative thing to say about the venue. I do know the pricing is on the high end, given that it's in Ffld. county, but definitely check it out!

That was my #1 choice until I went to look at it.  It has ceiling tiles which totally turned me off.  Just NMS.

Yeah, they just redid the whole ceiling. It must have been pretty bad before, I guess, but it looks good now.
